Break a leg? I don't think so....

Last, Last Friday I tried out for Assumpta Teatrica, the theater club in our school. Anyway, it was my second time to audition to get into theater though last year i tried out for METTA instead of Assumpta. So one person must prepare a monologue and a song, I picked a part of the movie of EVER AFTER starring Drew Barrymore. I chose a part where she seriously kicks some ass through the use of her verbal intelligence, if there is such a thing, to some guy, in much need of anger management, to be able to save her fellow servant friend. And as for a song I chose the ever beautiful SEASONS OF LOVE from the greatest braodway show ever-RENT!
So on the day of the auditioning me and a friend went to the school auditorium where the auditions were to be held... and this was how it went -- 5 people auditioning plus the judges in a sound proofed room where mirrors that reach from the ceiling to the floor stretch from corner to corner on one side. When it was my groups turn to audition we went in and one of the judges said we were going to start out with a song, then the monologue and lastly a short dance that will be taught to us. In my group there were two people who wre, let's just say, GREAT actresses... Oh well, can't do anything aboput that now can i? Before the audition one of my friends who was one of the great actresses i was talking about told me to break a leg, which meant good luck in theatre. So I thought I did a good job, though with quite a few mistakes i was confident.... i was actually confident to get in.... But on the day where they show who got in i was not very happy.... My name was not on the list. I felt bad, not only because i didn't get in but the fact that i didn't get in and i actually felt confident that i was going to go in.... I even saw quite a few peoples names who i knew was not that good in acting... but of coarse i have no right to judge them especially because I wasn't in their group...

Maybe the term break a leg isn't good luck at all... or for me at least.

Break A leg? I don't think so.....
